Safety Nets

Net riggers should hold a current FASET CSCS Safety Net Rigger Card for ‘General Rigger’. Nets should be installed to BS EN 1263-2 standards.

The netting installation contractor must provide a Handover Certificate for all safety net installations and subsequent alterations.

Fall arrest safety nets should undergo further inspection by a competent person every 7 days after handover if still installed or following adverse weather, alterations or any event which could have resulted in damage to the nets.

Users should carry out visual inspections before commencing work above nets.
