What is the Roadshow?
The YouMatter Health and Wellbeing Roadshow first started in 2006 and has become an industry-leading health and wellbeing initiative supporting staff, subcontractors, the client and the communities in which we work.
The bus tour provides us with a platform to promote health and wellbeing amongst our employees and value chain. Many of our workforce work away from home and miss out on opportunities to visit doctors or health centres for a health check. By bringing the bus to the site we allow them to visit the nurse and access a health check.
2024 is the biggest tour yet, with the double-decker bus visiting 23 projects and offices over the next five weeks. We encourage you all to “Get On Board”!
Regardless of whether you are site-based or office-based, by attending the roadshow, you will have the opportunity to get:
- A blood pressure check
- A BMI check
- Health Check Point (height, weight, BMI)
- A cholesterol check
- A diabetes check
- Free advice on healthy eating, stress, lifestyle etc.
- Free McLaughlin & Harvey goodies
- A stress-relieving massage
